Hi All, My name is Donny Claxton and we lived at KI from 69-70, and then left while dad did Hueys in Nam, and then were back for second grade thru the end of sixth from '72-summer of '78. I went to McDonald and my good friends at the time were DeWayne Henshaw, Jimmy Love, Cindy Wright, Michelle Bogue, and Kim Casey. I'd enjoy hearing from any of you. Michelle and I wound up in the same English class in Montgomery, AL our sophomore years of HS. Small world. KI was the best place in the world to grow up as a kid. Who ever mentioned "picking piles of blueberries," really triggered some memories. We had baggies full of them in the freezer that we would never eat! My poor mom. If you were at McDonald during the days we were there, please contact me, even if I haven't mentioned your name.

I was a Pick-up & Delivery driver in Supply from 1990-1992. Give me a holler in you remember me. Lots of good times while stationed in the U.P. Would have loved to stay up there but found better work back in Ohio.

I was stationed at KI '74-'76. Worked at CBPO. Lived in the hole at first, then in a trailer park behind Brown's Tavern in Little Lake. (Surprised to see people mention Brown's, as i was there more than 30 yrs ago!). Good memories. I remember Guy and Karen Harrrison, (fellow CBPO mates and Little Lake neighbors; Cynthia "Tobey" Meyers, Wayne Walker, Jessie Hite and John Lepard. The last two were "Great" roommates. Would love to visit the area again and get a pasty and a stroh's for lunch. (not available here). Would like to hear from anyone from that time.

I was thrilled to find this website. My dad was Capt. Dennis W. Soerens. He was the navigator on the B-52 that crashed on April 1, 1977. I was only 3 years old at the time. If anybody knew my dad, it would be wonderful to hear from you, or to hear stories from when he was stationed at K.I.
