Andy, if you check the board, please drop me a note. I'm trying to place your family, but can't. And, thanks to the good folks who are working to maintain this site. You work is appreciated by those of us who called KI home for varying lengths of time.

Mike retired military, from KI, back in the late 80's/early 90's. Both used to hang out at the VFW in Gwinn. Anyway, I went to HS with Laurie, in Gwinn, and am trying to reconnect.

 Lived at 349 Marauder from '73-'77. Thanks for the memories of Leo P. McDonald and Gwinn Middle School. The base ski hill looks the same as it did every summer! It looks like it might be depressing to drive through there now, but I think I'll give it a shot this year.

 Just had to post back to Anita from Ishpeming. I read your comments about what is left of K.I. and
also know firsthand from visiting that it isn't what is use to be. That still doesn't take away the memories of what once was. All of us die-hard K.I. fans enjoy each others stories, and know that we can't go back to what it was but, cherish what we remember. I personally was a seventeen year old new bride when I joined my husband at K.I., that was 42 years ago and still get good feelings when I think about those days. In this day and age it's nice to have those good memeories to pass on to our children and grandchildren who will probably never have the great experiences we did back then.

E-mail: melodikeenan2@hotmail.com 		sorry folks that's Panther Street 4 bedroom unit accorss from the barker's I remember don and sharon barker had my first kiss in their shed. I attend McDonald elem 64-67 -3-4th grades. Gwinn area from 57-73. Dad laid brick on High school.
Now living in Virginia returning july 08 for celebration also was 4th grade class president all year. Brothers and sister bernie class of 71 debbie class of 73 me class of 75 dan class of 77 russ class of 79 and steve class of 81 all last name Marttila (step-fathers Larry McDonald at KI and Douglas Tackett at KI)

Looking forward to returning this july to the hometown of my first 16 yrs. thanks for the site
